Micky - Love you forever my angel

« on: January 15, 2012, 01:37:33 PM »

This article has been on the Agilitynet website.  A lady has died suddenly, she bred collies for Obedience, Agility, Flyball and trialing and probably other things as well.  A lot of her dogs are doing well in the agility circuit.  This lady has 60, (yes it is unbelievable isn't it), collies which are now requiring good homes as her husband is a non-doggy person.  The ages of the dogs is from puppies to elderly dogs.  The dogs can be seen on the website www.canen.me.uk  (Canen Border Collies).  Anyone interested should contact her daughter on 01286 880491.
I hope it is okay to put this up on the forum, I am just trying to help find perhaps one or two of these dogs a good home.  I think it is located somewhere in Wales, I suppose it would be with a name like that. tongue3 wave

Ooh I know of this breeder, several people at club have her dogs.
I really hope these lovely dogs find wonderful homes, they were not kept in the best conditions and IMO what started out as selected breeding of high class BC's turned into just another puppy farm  Lips Sealed I mean 60 dogs  Shocked  BangHead

I have a very good friend who has always had collies ( no accounting for taste  evil6  joke!!) , still does, she is in N. Wales with the same phone code as this. I will give her a call in case she doesn't know about these dogs, if she can't take one herself perhaps she can help in some way.

The more dogs you have the less dedicated one on one time you can give each of them. How can someone correctly look after 60 dogs  Sad  The cruelty case I got involved with recently involved 67 toy dogs in a council house...very sad . Unfortunatly people become hoarders,it becomes an addiction. I don't think its always about the money from selling puppies its often a mental health issue but the dogs are the ones that pay the price  angry4
